In 2017, a collaboration between Toei Animation and Hong Kong based production company A Really Good Film Company was announced. In the press conference, plans for a live action Saint Seiya movie were detailed, and Polish director was announced as being in charge of filming, based on the classic 1986 series, which is supposed to take place in Summer 2019.
